Basic requirements
Graphic materials provided by customers are adjusted to the technological requirements of our machines. To achieve accurate printing results, artwork materials should meet the following conditions:
- File formats: CDR, AI, EPS, PDF.
- Bitmap images should have a resolution of no less than 225 dpi (best 300 dpi) and be in the CMYK color system.
- Files should be saved in the gross format, meaning that 3 millimeters of bleed area should be added to the print dimensions. Additionally, please indicate the net format with a frame or die-cut.
- PSD objects, shadows, transparencies, and tonal transitions should be included in a single-layer TIFF file.
- Vector objects applied to the bitmap should be in the form of curves with specified CMYK or Pantone colors.
- Fonts should be converted to curves.
- Textual or graphic elements should be at least 5 mm away from the cutting line.
- Black texts should only contain 100% black and should not be composed of 4-color black.
Additional remarks
- The file should not contain masks, alpha channels, or any overprint settings.
- We accept files without special preparation in AI or PDF formats, as long as they have the desired print overlay and no Pantone colors present in the graphics. Alternatively, two versions of the file can be provided: one with the die-cut drawing and one without.
- File delivery can be done through email (up to 30 MB) or file-sharing servers (e.g., WeTransfer)
Proofing and Approval
Packaging construction is approved on the basis of unprinted plotter samples, which are made from the same raw material as quoted.
Artworks are approved based on digital proof prints, accurately reflecting the final print with regards to CMYK colors on the packaging and graphic layout. PANTONE colors are matched to PANTONE colors book.
